I decided to run Tiger Trail for the adventure of crossing the country, the opportunity to show other schools what division III runners are made of, to prove the strength women can possess if they choose, and to challenge myself.
I began running in the seventh grade to try something new, and after my first season of cross country was addicted.
I’m not worried about how much we are going to smell, how horrible our diets will be, how little sleep we’ll get, or how grimy our clothes will be. I think the hardest part of Tiger Trail will be keeping our moral up and the complaining down. If we can make it through without complaint of our situation, which we agreed to going into this, we can conquer this task.
I can’t wait to spend everyday with my team, seeing new places, and running everyday.
