I began running around the summer before my sophomore year of high school - I'm still a pretty new runner! At first, it was hard to be motivated because I always felt so tired and slow; I was really just running so I'd have something to do and so I could get in shape. Over the course of a year, though, I somehow fell in love with running and decided to join the cross country and track teams in my junior year. Against the odds, I ended up a varsity runner in high school, earning the opportunity to run at divisional championships and winning the most improved award. These things, along with the motivation to be better than my best, gave me enough confidence to come out here and run at college! Running for RIT has been a dream come true and being a part of Tiger Trail is going to be another great experience to add to my running collection.
