Early Pledges - Daily Prize Drawings

  • Drawings will be held daily at 4:00 p.m. on March 11th - 13th and March 16th - 20th.
  • Winners will be announced by email.

The earlier an online pledge submission is completed or a paper pledge form returned, the more chances there are to win! (No donation required)

*RIT is required to follow Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations regarding the taxable status of prize drawings. Therefore, this prize may be considered taxable, and Payroll will adjust your 2015 W-2 Form accordingly via an entry on the next available payroll called Taxable Gift Benefit and collect taxes if needed.

 

RIT Heroes in Action and Prize Auction

10 FREE game tickets and 1 FREE auction ticket with the completion of an online pledge submission or the return of a completed pledge form! (No donation required)

This event kicks off the campaign and will be held on Friday, March 6th in the SAU Lobby and Fireside Lounge from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Game winners will receive free tickets for the prize auction:

Prize Auction:

  • Take a chance to win great prizes in the auction – 1 FREE ticket given to attendees who have completed an online submission or paper pledge form.
  • Extra tickets are $1.00 for one ticket or $5 for 20 tickets!
  • Participants “bid” on prizes by placing tickets in the basket located in front of each item.
  • “Bidders” may buy as many tickets as they like and bid them on any item(s) they want by placing their tickets in the bowl in front of the item(s) they are trying to win.
  • At the end of the event, a winning ticket randomly is drawn from each bowl.
  • Prize winners will be notified via email on THursday, March 12th.

Don’t miss out! Enter to win! All proceeds will benefit the RIT United Way Campaign.

NOTE: If the winners are RIT employees or students, there will not be any tax implications since the auction is open to anyone attending the event and not contingent upon employment at RIT.

CHAIRity Auction - Be a Hero, Make a Difference

Bid on these one-of-a-kind collectible chairs.

Each chair is designed by a different RIT “artist.”

 The funds raised from the individual chairs will be donated to the local United Way agency selected by the artist.

 The chairs will be on display on the following dates and locations:

-         March 2 – 6, March 9-10 in the Campus Center Lobby
-         March 11 in the SAU Lobby (during the Heroes in Action and Auction kickoff event for the RIT United Way Campaign)
-         March 12-13 and the morning of March 16 in the Campus Center Lobby

Online bidding will start at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5 and end at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16.

-         Winners will be notified on March 16 once bidding closes.
-         Payment can be made via credit card (VISA or MasterCard) online.
-         Chairs must be picked up from the Campus Center by 5:00 p.m. on March 18.

Grand Prize Drawings*

To qualify for entry into the drawing, an online pledge submission must be completed or a paper pledge form submitted by Noon on April 4th. (No donation required)

First Drawing:  Two Roundtrip United Airlines Tickets

  • The certificates are valid on United Airlines flights within the US-48,Alaska, Canada, Mexico and Caribbean.
    All travel must be complete by date TBA.

Action Needed by Winner:
The value of the tickets will not be known until the flight is booked.

Second Drawing:  Reserved Parking Permit for Academic Year 2015/16

  • The single lot permit is valued up to $225 and may be in any available parking lot with reserve parking (other than lots R, Admin and 7B).
  • The reserve permit begins August 24, 2015 and is active until August of 2016.
