Every day, RIT faculty and staff members make RIT a better place by guiding students and departments to their maximum potential. And now with the energy and creativity of our new president, Bill Destler, we're all ready to move RIT to the next level of excellence. Together, we will make RIT a Category of One university in no time!
And now, there is an important and "blooming" tradition in the campus community. Every year, more and more of our faculty and staff become part of a renewed culture of giving on our campus. They support RIT's progress, expansion, excellence and innovation with financial gifts as well as with their time and talent. In 2006-2007, more than $235,000 from faculty and staff helped RIT provide an outstanding educational environment. Why do choose they choose help?
- They know RIT is a great place to work, learn and grow as you nurture the leaders of tomorrow.
- They understand that tuition cannot possibly "cover it all." New buildings, renovations, up-to-date labs, equipment, faculty/staff development, and thousands of other resources are NOT covered by tuition dollars.
- They realize the importance of scholarship funds – especially endowed scholarships – to attract highly talented students and to help all our students attain their educational goals.
And did you know that many of our faculty and staff members are also alumni? If every person on campus with an RIT degree made a contribution, we could raise annual alumni participation one full percentage point – and (based on last year’s figures) that could mean another nearly $11,000 in funding for scholarships and other important funds!
