A special feature of NRS is the opportunity to recognize some of RIT's most outstanding students through the NRS Scholarship Program. Students are selected on the basis of academic merit and leadership in the community. Since the establishment of the scholarship, contributions to NRS have provided more than 1,600 merit awards to upperclass students.
The annual NRS scholarship process begins early in Spring quarter. Approximately 150 scholarships of up to $1,000 each are awarded annually (students in the American College of Management & Technology in Croatia receive awards up to $500 annually.) Of those scholarships, half of the awards will be made to new NRS Scholars. The remaining scholarships will renew for current NRS Scholarship recipients. If selected as an NRS Scholar, your RIT account will be credited each quarter of full-time undergraduate study, beginning in the Fall quarter after the selection process. Scholarships are not awarded during co-op assignments, but are renewable for up to six (6) quarters of full-time undergraduate study, provided all standards of excellence are maintained.
Being a Scholar is a great opportunity to network with alumni and community leaders. As a Scholar you will be invited to serve as a greeter or host at an NRS event; give tours of your college and campus to members of NRS; join NRS members for lunch or dinner.
