Below are the current plans for expansion of School of Print Media (SPM) curriculum to more effectively cover the gravure process:


Gravure Process Spring Course

Course No. 2081-386 Credit Hours: 3

The curriculum of this course, offered through SPM, is now available (93 kb PDF). The course is targeted to initiate in the spring of 2006. It serves as a full exploration of the gravure process. The course consists of classes and fieldtrips to many gravure plants.

Course Resources

The main resource of this course will be the book Gravure Process and Technology, Gravure Education Foundation, ISBN: 1-88029002-2, 2003.

Independent Study

Independent study into any aspect of gravure imaging, is encouraged by and will be guided by Prof. Chung. Students should feel free to contact him with any questions or comments: rycppr@rit.edu. Including an essay stating the area of interest is preferred and will help in submitting the independant study request to SPM.
