5 Ball Endurance: Jugglers begin with the 5 ball pattern of their choosing (so long as it does not involve bouncing or multiplexing). Every minute, jugglers must switch patterns. Patterns may be re-used. In the unlikely event that there is still no winner after 4 minutes, jugglers will switch patterns every 30 seconds and may no longer re-use patterns. The last person juggling wins.
Quarter Juggling: Jugglers begin juggling 3 quarters in the pattern of their choosing (no multiplex). Every minute, jugglers must switch to a new pattern. Old patterns may not be re-used. When a juggler drops, they must forfit all 3 of their quarters. The last person juggling may retain all dropped quarters.
3 Ball Blind Juggling: Jugglers may begin juggling before the official start, but they must close their eyes at the official start. Any 3 ball non-multiplex pattern is acceptable. The last person juggling wins. In the unlikely event the competition shows signs of lasting a long time, participants may be required to switch patterns.
3 Ball Spock Says: Jugglers will do the things that "Spock says," and will not do what Spock does not say. If a juggler does something Spock did not say, the juggler is out. If a juggler drops at any point (unless Spock said to drop), the juggler is out. For the most part, Spock will say to do various 3 ball tricks, but Spock reserves the right to say whatever is on his mind. (Spock likes to combine tricks too. Remember, if Spock says to juggle box, and then says to juggle above your head, you should be juggling box above your head.)
Best Trick: This is a single trick (not routine, not series of tricks -- just one trick) to be performed for an audience. In turn, each juggler will be announced, then do his/her trick for the audience. Judges will make note of the level of applause each participant receives. After everyone has done their trick, the judges will call the participants who received the most applause again. First, they will be introduced to the audience (the audience will not applaud). Then one at a time, they will be re-introduced, and the audience will cast their vote in applause. In the event that there is a tie, and no clear way to distinguish a winner, participants may thumb wrestle for first place (or compete in any other reasonable fasion agreed upon as fair by all parties).
Just think, one of these could be yours.
