The background and goals of the NTID Instructional Technology Consortium will be described. ITC facilitators will be introduced as well as technical resource teams. The week schedule will be reviewed and questions will be answered.
Coffee will be available in 60-2225 from 8:00AM, the session will start promptly at 8:30AM.

Participants will list two of their most important assumptions about teaching and learning and then describe some ways these assumptions are reflected in actual day-to-day teaching practice. Then participants will describe how technology can reinforce or clash with their assumptions. Participants will work in small groups to collect everyone's thoughts. A listing of responses will be collected and posted on the web.

This informal session will be devoted to providing participants with sources of information related to the types of support faculty can expect from the ITC and CRTL as they progress with their ITC projects. Additionally, a brief description of sources of information available on how to use NTID smart classrooms will be offered.

Doug Rea has used the WWW effectively in one of the most challenging ways possible... to produce a Web magazine using a student staff located around the world. His use of the Web as a delivery system and as a creative tool is one of the most sophisticated yet at RIT. Doug will show what he has done, how he has done it, and offer suggestions to aspiring faculty.

During this session, participants will learn about the features and possible instructional applications of the two laptop models that will be made available to successful ITC participants.
At the end of the session, participants will be able to "order" their laptop for delivery ASAP.

Description:
During this session participants will have the opportunity to share with their colleagues their accomplishments during the ITC Studio. Discussion of what works both instructionally and technically will be encouraged. Faculty may choose if they would like to show/discuss their projects.
