Title: Web Site Project Planning

Description:

In this workshop session, participants learn how to plan a web site. Good planning saves time, reduces confusion and errors, and results in a more pleasant and usable web site. Strategies for considering participants¹ existing materials and determining which of these are suitable for web display are included.

This workshop introduces a procedure to scan images and convert images to file formats compatible with the Web. Issues related to color depth, resolution, and image size are also covered.

This workshop introduces participants to video and text-based chatting and conferencing on the Internet and how this technology can be used to enhance communication with and among Deaf people. Strengths and weaknesses of the technology are included as well as what advances we might 'see' in the future.
