Every initiation quarter (Fall and Winter) the initiates and members
perform community service by completing a service project.
| The Skyway of Hope Dinner is an event that aims
at raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. "The mission of the Cystic
Fibrosis (CF) Foundation is to develop the means to fund the research targeted to cure and
control CF and improve and lengthen the lives of those living with CF while a cure is
sought." |
| "Through the work of Habitat, thousands of
low-income families have found new hope in the form of affordable housing. Churches,
community groups and others have joined together to successfully tackle a significant
social problem -- decent housing for all." |
| "This program is an institution unto itself providing
thousands of meals to residents throughout our Chapter area. This life-saving
institution is provided to frail, ill and elderly citizens, many of whom are referred to
the Red Cross by local hospitals and neighboring social service organizations. In
addition to improving the quality of life for those people in need, the program enables
people to remain in their own homes and avoid premature nursing home placement." |
