By air: Grand Rapids is served by the Gerald Ford Airport (GRR) and by Delta, United, American, Air Tran, Allegiant, and Air Canada. The hotels are about 15 miles from the airport, $30 by cab. There is also a shuttle service, and when making your airfare reservations you may want to note the schedule listed below for the shuttle service (GR Hopper) picking up SEAC attendees at the GRR airport.
You do not need to register for this service ahead of time. The charge is $15 (cash) each way, paid to the driver.

The times of the GR Hopper service are as follows:

10/3 Wednesday: airport pick up at 5:30pm & 9:30pm to go to the Marriott Courtyard Downtown & Holiday Inn Dowtown

10/4 Thursday: airport pick up at 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, and 1:00pm to go to the Marriott Courtyard Downtown and Holiday Inn Downtown

10/6 Saturday: Marriott Courtyard Downtown pick up at 2:00pm & 3:00pm to the GRR airport

For those who would like to use public transit: the city bus service #17 picks up at the airport at 37 minutes after the hour, beginning at 6:37 AM with its last run at 10:37PM. Bus #17 will take you to Woodland Mall (a 15-minute ride) where you transfer (wait time 8 minutes) to the #6 bus that will take you downtown (35 minutes). Get off at the Ottawa Avenue and Fulton St. stop (Van Andel Arena). From there the walk to the Marriott Courtyard Downtown is two blocks and to the Holiday Inn is four blocks. The cost to ride the bus is $1.50, but it must be the correct change. Be sure to ask the driver on #17 for a free transfer to ride #6 bus.
