ASSOCIATION FOR COMMUTER ENGAGEMENT (ACE)

The Association for Commuter Engagement is a student government organization representing students who do not live in RIT operated housing or at Province and Park Point. ACE is funded by the student activities fees paid by all students. ACE was created to better serve commuter students through a council of Commuter Advocates from each of the local neighborhoods in which RIT students reside, as well as through research and programming to improve the connection between on-campus life and commuter students. ACE provides a number of services including coffee, a small lounge space, a network of on-campus and off-campus resources for commuter students, computers and a printer, and the development of a web-based database of local housing costs and landlord reviews. ACE was established as part of the Office of Student Affairs Strategic Plan 2011-2015, with the more long-term goal of creating a fully staffed department serving commuter students at RIT.
