HOUSING OPERATIONS

RIT Housing Operations serves approximately 7,100 students assigned to RIT residence halls, apartments (Colony Manor, Perkins Green, Racquet Club, Riverknoll), University Commons suites, Global Village suites, and the RIT Inn & Conference Center. Whether a student is passionate about a field of study or a particular lifestyle, our custom designed housing communities allows students to choose living arrangements according to their diverse individual needs and interests all in a secure, convenient, affordable, and supportive environment for living and learning.

Our residence halls house approximately 3,500 undergraduates and feature a number of specialty and lifestyle floor options including same gender, coeducational, gender neutral, wellness, alcohol/substance free, intensified study, over 21 years of age, living-learning communities, and study abroad, honors, and entrepreneur housing clusters. Other living options available in the residence halls are Greek fraternities and sororities and special interest houses including Art House, Computer Science House, Engineering House, House of General Science, International House, Photo House, and Unity House.

Five apartment/suite complexes with 950 apartment, suite, and townhouse units, ranging from one- to four-bedrooms, make up RIT's apartment/suite offerings. Apartment complexes include Colony Manor, Perkins Green, Racquet Club, Riverknoll (all are unfurnished with full kitchen and bath), and University Commons suites that are furnished with kitchen and full bath. Additionally, Global Village offers 70 furnished suites with single and double bedroom options, as well as suites with and without kitchens. RIT apartment, University Commons suites, and Global Village suites are available to upper-class students.

The RIT Inn & Conference Center offers students fully furnished double rooms with private baths and a number of amenities such as TV with free cable service, free housekeeping, free reserved parking pass, and access to lounges with kitchenettes, a heated indoor/outdoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, fitness center, business center, free laundry, and free express shuttle service.

RIT Housing Operations staff oversee all assignments to all RIT housing, room and lounge furniture in the residence halls, keys and card access, maintenance of apartments/suites and Global Village, summer conference housing, and daily tours of the residence halls.
