RIT Resources for New Faculty
MILITARY SCIENCE, Army ROTC
The Department of Military Science and the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) offers a unique academic, physical education, and leadership development program which can lead to a commission as an officer in the United States Army. A wide variety of courses, activities and financial aid programs (three- and two-year scholarships) are offered to eligible full-time students interested in the active Army, Reserves, or National Guard. A student incurs a military obligation upon acceptance of a scholarship or entry in the advanced phase of the program. Non-contracted students incur no military obligation during the freshman and sophomore year classes.
