Add the RIT Directory to your Address Book

  1. Open the Address Book from the Communicator menu.
  2. Select "New Directory..." from the File menu. The "LDAP Server Properties" window will appear.

  3. Enter RIT Directory in the Description field.
  4. Enter "ldap.rit.edu" in the LDAP Server field.
  5. Enter "ou=people,dc=rit,dc=edu" in the Search Root field.
  6. Ensure that "389" is entered in the Port Number field.
  7. Click the "OK" button.
  8. Open the Netscape preferences by selecting "Preferences..." from the Edit menu.
  9. Select the "Addressing" category under the "Mail & Newsgroups" section.

  10. Check the box next to "Directory server."
  11. Select RIT Directory from the list.
  12. Click the "OK" button.
