Elements of Health Care Leadership

Program Overview

The business of running health care requires a leader with multiple strategic skills. The manager is required to forecast into the future, develop a strategic plan to capture this vision, align service resources to carry out the vision and market this unique service to customers. In addition management works with governing boards who oversee their progress and considers strategic alliances and/or mergers to further the mission and vision. The professional is expected to be innovative and ethical in all of their interactions. The Health System Administration program at RIT has developed this leadership concentration to develop these skill sets in a series of dynamic courses. The professional who already has attained an advanced degree may want to consider taking one or two of these courses to update their leadership skills.
