are not absolutes, merely guideposts. In other words,
if there is a particular ingredient you do not like, delete
or substitute. If there is a particular ingredient you like,
should be a creative activityand enjoyable. A person
cannot be rebuffed by failure in the kitchen. It is essential
to be resilient, innovative and willing to take chances and
experiment. Success can elevate you to the highest levels
of culinary ecstasy while failure can plunge you into the
pits of shame and despair sometimes each at a different
time with the same recipe!
The recipes here are ones that I have made, seen on television,
read in newspapers, magazines or other cookbooks; some have
been given to me by family members or friends. In almost every
instance, I have added, subtracted or changed in some way.
