I am privileged to be able to “guest blog” for Provost Haefner on the subject of the Middle States Re-accreditation process currently underway at RIT.  Rather than drone on about this or that, or perhaps more accurately, in addition to droning on about this or that, I’ll try to frame our approach to re-accreditation using the timeless words and wisdom of Theodore Geisel, and I’ll start with the prescient observation (perhaps the truth of which is borne out from the observation of Rochester weather) that “From there to here and here to there, funny things are everywhere.”

Welcome back!

To our students, faculty and staff, I welcome all of you to the start of spring semester 2016. It seems out of sorts to say spring in January but on the other hand, El Niño has certainly made Rochester more spring-like than winter-like over the past few months. 

Middle States Accreditation: The Quality Buck Stops Here

MSCHBy now I hope that you have seen information about how the campus is preparing for the Middle States accreditation decennial evaluation visit in 2017. Given the amount of work that goes into this preparation, it is helpful to take a step back and look at the big picture in order to understand why we need to do this.
