With hacking stories appearing daily in global news headlines, and a world that's more interconnected than ever, we need sharp minds focused on safeguarding online communities and capabilities. Students will love this hands-on camp taught by RIT faculty and students that emphasizes cyber ethics, online safety, cyber security and defense.

This RIT camp is funded by a federal grant from the NSA GenCyber program and is FREE for accepted students to attend.

Eligibility:
• middle/high school youth (incoming grades 8-12)
• this is a beginner camp, so no previous experience is necessary
• students will need to complete the application process to be considered for acceptance
• NOTE - students who have participated in the RIT GenCyber camp in the past are not eligible to apply
• NOTE - this is not a residential camp, there is no provision for overnight stay for campers

SELECTION and NOTIFICATION
We will begin reviewing applications on May 15th. After this, applications will be reviewed based on availability (SPOTS AVAILABLE AS OF MAY 21st!!!). Campers from groups historically underserved and underrepresented in STEM are especially encouraged to apply. Campers will be notified of their acceptance during the week of May 20th.

Admitted students who accept their spot in GenCyber will then be given a code to complete camp registration forms through the Camp Tiger registration page. (Note: health and immunization forms are required before the start of camp.)
