Eligibility:
• middle/high school girl (incoming grades 8-12)
• this is a beginner camp, so no previous experience is necessary
• students will need to complete the application process to be considered for acceptance
• NOTE - this is not a residential camp, there is no provision for overnight stay for campers

There will be TWO opportunities to participate in the Python Coding Camp for Girls at RIT this summer. We will offer two one-week camps. Both weeks will follow the same curriculum.

July 15th – 19th OR
July 29th - Aug. 2nd

Python Coding Camp for Girls will be offered in collaboration with RIT's Camp Tiger on the RIT campus with RIT faculty, staff, and students serving as instructors. For more information on camp Tiger please see: https://www.rit.edu/academicaffairs/koc/

Camp Hours: 9am (drop off as early as 8:30) - 4pm daily (M-F)
Lunch in an RIT dining hall and snack included
Students will received 2 tshirts to wear throughout the week

HOW TO APPLY:
Acceptance into Python Coding Camp for Girls is determined through an application process. In order to apply, please complete this application form. It will ask you to:
• Provide contact demographic information for the camper
• Upload a short essay written by the camper describing their background for the workshop and explaining why participating in the workshop would be meaningful

SELECTION and NOTIFICATION
Campers from groups historically underserved and underrepresented are especially encouraged to apply.

Admitted students who accept their spot in Python Coding Camp for Girls will then be given a code to complete camp registration forms through the Camp Tiger registration page. (Note: health and immunization forms are required before the start of camp.)
