The Academic Affairs team warmly welcomed Brenda Thornton, a Senior Staff Specialist, to RIT on September 13, 2018. She’s located in Eastman Hall and filled the position previously held by Stephanie Maryan.
Before working at RIT, Brenda was the Chapter Administrator for the Association of Fundraising Professionals and owned Thornsoft Development, which created ClipMate, an award-winning Windows utility that was used around the world. She also worked for Eastman Kodak Company for ten years in a variety of marketing and technical roles. Brenda graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY Potsdam with a BA in computer & information sciences.
Brenda and her husband, Chris, are the parents of three children: Carolyn (a chemist at Nestlé), Alex (an electrical engineering student at Binghamton University), and Matthew (a mechanical engineering student at the University at Buffalo).
