Outstanding Teaching Award for Non-Tenure-Track Faculty

The candidate must be a non-tenure-track faculty member as defined in E6.0 - Policy on Faculty Rank, and in each of the three consecutive years preceding the nomination has either taught at least one academic course each academic term or taught at least four courses over the span of an academic year.

The candidate cannot be a recipient who received the award in the preceding seven years.

To determine teaching excellence, each nomination committee thoroughly investigates and establishes that the candidate has demonstrated excellence in teaching and an ongoing devotion to enhancing classroom teaching and student engagement.

If you would like to nominate a non-tenure-track faculty member who excels at teaching, please complete and submit a nomination form when the application process opens in the spring.

Award recipients will be honored at the Provost’s Celebration of Teaching and Scholarship awards.
