Faculty Learning Communities
Join other faculty for an in-depth exploration and practice of new ways of teaching!
Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs) have existed at RIT since 2001.
Each community consists of a small group of faculty who meet bi-weekly to explore and implement a specific teaching practice. Faculty from across disciplines share their experiences, discuss and solve problems , and work together to develop their skills.
Recent Communities have explored…
- Writing-intensive courses
- Flipped classroom
- Online course design
FLCs provide a confidential, safe environment to discuss issues and new ideas in teaching and learning.
