University Exploration hosts Change of Program Fair

December 8, 2017

Last year University Exploration (UE) introduced an Internal Transfer Fair to assist current RIT students who were questioning their current major to let the students know who the office was and how we could help them find their direction here at RIT.

This year, UE expanded upon that model to include representatives from all nine colleges, the School of Individualized Study, and NTID, and held our inaugural Change of Program Fair.

This fair is designed to give students looking at new programs access to all the knowledgeable people in one room instead of having them go from building and office to building and office. With this new model we were able to serve over 30 questioning students! We look forward to hosting this event again in the spring semester.

December 1, 2017

Haven't had a chance to come to one of our fall open houses yet? Come out on Friday, December 1, 2017 for our final program of the fall.

Head to our Undergraduate Admissions page to register today!

University Exploration has had a busy fall!

November 24, 2017

Check out what University Exploration has been up to this fall!

University Exploration Honors Students participate in the RIT Global Day of Service

Current and past University Exploration Honors students joined together for the first community service event of the year, volunteering for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester, NY. This organization provides a “home-away-from-home” for families of children receiving healthcare in the Rochester community. Along with other Alumni of RIT, the group volunteered at the Annual Ronald McDonald Household Sale as they scrubbed, swept, organized, and shelved donations. The funds raised from The Household sale stay locally here in Rochester and help support the mission of the organization. University Exploration is so happy to have been able to join in on the RIT’s Global Day of Service this year!

First Fridays with University Exploration

University Exploration began a series of “First Friday” events with our students. These events bring together University Exploration staff, student ambassadors, and current program students to help build relationships and give insights into how students find their major with the program. We kicked off the year with a Chocolate Chat and are continuing with a Coffee Talk series for the remainder of the semester.
