CollegeFluency for Parents, hosted by Ian Mortimer, RIT’s Vice President for Enrollment Management, is a monthly podcast in which higher education experts demystify the college search and financing process and offer insight into the realities of college admissions and financial aid.

On our debut episode of CollegeFluency for Parents, Ian Mortimer, RIT’s Vice President for Enrollment Management talks with John Serafine director of student counseling and college advising at McQuaid Jesuit High School. Serafine has more than three decades of experience in college counseling, including leadership roles with the National Association for College Counseling. Ian and John discuss the relationships between the four key stakeholders in the admissions process: the student, parents, guidance professionals and the staff at colleges and universities.
