Call for Papers: SECM/HSNA 2014 at Bethlehem, Penn.

The Society for Eighteenth-Century Music will hold its sixth biennial conference, together with the Haydn Society of North America, at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Penn., 28 February 28 to 2 March, 2014. The SECM welcomes proposals for papers and other presentations on any aspect of music in the eighteenth century, and seeks to incorporate a variety of presentation types.

Society for Eighteenth-Century Music 2014 Meeting with the HSNA

The Society for Eighteenth-Century Music recently announced that their sixth biennial conference will be held in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, from 28 February to 2 March, 2014. The conference will be co-sponsored by the Haydn Society of North America and hosted by Moravian College, with support from Kutztown University.

Concerts by the New Esterhazy Quartet: The Danube Runs Through it

As announced in their latest newsletter, the New Esterházy Quartet is presenting The Danube Runs Through It, a concert featuring music originating along the course of the Danube, April 20 and 21 in the Bay Area. Here is the program:

"Johann Sebastian Bach and his Sons" at American Bach Society meeting in 2014

The American Bach Society invites  paper proposals for its upcoming meeting to be held at Kenyon College (Gambier, Ohio), 1–4, May 2014. The theme of the meeting will be “Johann Sebastian Bach and his Sons.” One of the focal points will be the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach’s birth (1714-1788).

"Haydn in Paris": Feb. 22 and 24, presented by the Handel & Haydn Society in Boston

The Handel and Haydn Society will present "Haydn in Paris," a concert of instrumental music by Joseph Haydn, at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, in Symphony Hall in Boston, Mass. 

The performance by the period instrument orchestra will be led by conductor Harry Christophers, with violin soloist and orchestra leader Aisslinn Nosky. Works on the all-Haydn program will be:
