Concert of Music by Ed Green

Edward Green writes to the Society:

Dear Friends,

I'm giving a concert—with some marvelous musicians, including saxophonist Paul Cohen of the Manhattan School of Music faculty—at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Christ & St. Stephen's Church, 122 West 69th St. in New York. This is a wonderful venue, as some of you probably already know: beautiful, intimate, and with great acoustics.

The concert features some of my music for brass and saxophone: my Brass Quintet (the one that won the Kodály Award), a Sextet for Alto Sax and Brass (which came about through "The Commission Project" about a decade back, and was premiered at the Kennedy Center), and my Trumpet and Alto Sax concertos (with piano accompaniment by Sylvia Kahan of the CUNY faculty).

I hope you can make it!

All the best,
