News from the New Esterházy Quartet

The New Esterházy Quartet has announced several upcoming events in their latest Newsletter. Season 7 announced!

During next season we expect to give the world premiere of a new piece being written for us by New York composer Paul Brantley. He already has experience writing music for period instrument ensembles, and we look forward to the challenge and excitement of preparing an entirely new piece to play for Bay Area audiences. Behind the Scenes in the Recording Studio with NEQ
Join us for a recording session at the historic COAST RECORDERS studio in San Francisco, one of the fabled Bill Putnam rooms from the 60s. You'll observe our LIVE premiere recording of the Imre Székely Quatuor Hongrois. Producer Lolly Lewis will guide us through the evening and will explain to you the deep inner mysteries of live music recording.
