Holocaust Survivor Leon was born in Czernowitz, Romania in 1931 and was ten years old when the Nazis invaded in 1941. He has been a member of the JFCS Holocaust Center’s William J. RIT Spring Athletics Challenge

Last month, we challenged alumni to get in the game and support their favorite RIT athletics team. We’re thrilled to announce that you helped raise over $75,044 in funding for students in RIT Athletics. Men’s Crew was our challenge winner! Their program will receive an extra $2,000 from a generous donor. Thank you for joining in the fun for a good cause.

Pi Day was Sweet

March 14 was National Pi Day—a time to celebrate the mathematical π symbol and our RIT family. This year for Pi Day we paid it forward by supporting our students, faculty, staff, and alumni suffering financial hardship by giving to the RIT Foodshare programWe are glad to report that 114 donations totaling $4,210.24 were received for RIT’s Foodshare program. That’s a lot of Pi! Thank you for your generous donations.

Racing to the Finish Line

This year, RIT Hot Wheelz is beginning a new chapter in the team’s history and entering the realm of solar-powered vehicles. Comprised primarily of female students, the team is focused on empowering women and recognizing the impact that women can make in the workforce and in STEM disciplines. To support this new project, Hot Wheelz has launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund the expenses.
