College of Health Sciences and Technology Chapter

Founded in 2011, RIT's ninth and newest college–the College of Health Sciences and Technology (CHST)—is the new home for alumni of these academic programs: Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Physician Assistant BS/MS, Biomedical Sciences, Nutrition Management, Health Systems Administration, Medical Illustration MS, Clinical Chemistry, and the premedical studies advisory program.

In the words of Daniel Ornt, MD, FACP, Vice President and Dean, Institute and College of Health Sciences & Technology:

"I am thrilled and honored to lead this exciting new venture for our students, faculty, staff, and community. This college is part of the larger Institute of Health Sciences and Technology (IHST), which includes the IHST Research Center and the IHST Outreach Center. Together, they serve to merge technology and medicine to educate future health care professionals, meet workforce and community needs, and develop and apply innovative new technologies in health care delivery."

CHST has continued to grow and establish itself. The college has hired new faculty members and has announced the construction of new clinical space on campus for outpatient treatment and hands–on clinical training. Follow us on social media and attend our upcoming events to stay up–to date with the most recent developments.

If you have questions, compliments, or suggestions for or about our CHST alumni offerings, please send me a note or make a call. It would be a pleasure to hear from you.
