The Princeton Review Names RIT Among ‘The Best 371 Colleges’
RIT is again being recognized as one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company features RIT in the just-published 2010 edition of its annual book The Best 371 Colleges.

RIT Graduates Rank High in Annual Salary Study
According to the most recent PayScale College Salary Report, the median starting salary for a recent RIT graduate is $51,000, also the mid-career median salary, which represents individuals with about 15 years work experience and have just a bachelor’s degree, is $82,000 for RIT alumni.

Torvec and RIT Sign Agreement to Create Automotive Technology Lab
RIT and Torvec Inc. signed an agreement to create SEAL, the Safety and Efficiency in Automobiles Laboratory, on the RIT campus. The new lab will focus on developing advanced automotive and related energy technologies while opening up new employment opportunities in the high-tech automotive industry.

Tiger Standout Returns as Softball Head Coach
Becky May ’03 (environmental management technology) will rejoin RIT as the head softball coach. May was a four-year starter for the Tigers softball team and captain in 2001 and 2002. She is tied for fifth all-time at RIT with five career home runs and second in putouts.

Executive Education Program Helps Local Companies Grow
The Saunders College of Business and Finger Lakes Wired will hold an eight-week executive education program for regional small- and medium-sized companies. The training and mentoring program will analyze market opportunities and develop strategic growth and implementation plans.

Alumnus and graphic designer Pete Bella Jr. (2003 has been awarded the 2009 Best Website Award by Trout Unlimited, the national conservation organization. As webmaster, Bella is being honored for the site development and design of Seth Green Trout Unlimited, the Rochester area chapter.

Anthony Wallace (2008) accomplished a dream by graduating from the police academy in Hoonah, Alaska. He was first in his class. Tony also was inducted into the RIT Sports Hall of Fame for wrestling in November 2008.

Heather (Brazeau) Renner (2006) and Steven Renner (2008) are happy to announce their marriage on July 3, 2009 in Salem, NH. RIT alumni in the bridal party included Heather's brother, Jeremiah Brazeau, and sister-in-law, Jennifer Brazeau, as well as Steven's cousins, David Keppel and John Keppel, and their friend Amar Boghani.
