Michael P. Morley '69, Chairman Emeritus of the Board, dies
The RIT community is mourning the loss of Michael P. Morley, a 1969 graduate in business administration and Board of Trustees chairman from 2005 to 2009. He died last month. Mr. Morley spent his career at Eastman Kodak Co., where he climbed the ranks before retiring in 2004 as chief administration officer and executive vice president.
"Graphic Design Archive" Website Launched
Graphic Design Archive features 30 individual designer archives and serves as a repository of primary resources material available in graphic design. The site is administrated by the Cary Graphic Arts Collection.
Printing Alum gives $100,000 to Cary Graphic Arts Press
Brooks Bower '74 (print media) pledged $100,000 to establish The Bower Family Publications Fund. The endowment will help support RIT's scholarly publishing enterprises — Cary Graphic Arts Press and its new imprint, RIT Press.
RIT on TV News: S.O.S. Holiday Drive
More than 50 members of the RIT community, including students, faculty, staff, alumni and parents, are currently serving in the Armed Forces. WHEC-TV (Channel 10) reports on the Support Our Servicemen and Servicewomen holiday drive held last month.
Alum Makes Canadian Roster for 2010 World Games
Former men’s lacrosse goalie Brad Conlon has been selected to Team Canada’s 30-man roster for the 2010 World Games, July 14–24, in Manchester, England.
NTID History Recorded by StoryCorps
NTID President Alan Hurwitz, retirees Paul and Sally Taylor and NTID’s first deaf faculty member, Robert Panara, were interviewed for the traveling StoryCorps project. StoryCorps, a nonprofit oral history project that records conversations and archives them in the American Folk Life Center at the Library of Congress in Washington.
Volunteer of the Year Honored
Victoria Ann Decker Griffith '93 (food marketing and distribution) is the Volunteer of the Year for 2009. The award is given to individuals who are active and involved in institute life and contribute significantly to their community, state or nation.

Nancy (Letavish) Magerowski '82 recently married John T. Magerowski '80. John found Nancy through RIT's Alumni Online Community after being out of touch for over 15 years!

Laurie (Jerome) Hedberg '04 and Mark Hedberg '04 are happy to announce their marriage on June 20, 2009 at the Webster Arboretum in Webster, NY. They had many RIT alumni present for the ceremony including Best Man — Rob Heller '05; Groomsman — Josh Coon '98, '00; Leah Coon '05; Jesse Silverstein '08; Maureen Wood '05; Adam Blair '05; Melissa Dawn Keith '04; Nicole Campbell '05; Chris Daley '06; Eileen Shannon '03, '05 and many other family and friends! Following the ceremony the couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Antigua.

Michael Sivigny '97 brought great pride to the Merrimac River Rowing Association when he captured the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston. Michael's long-term goal is rowing in the 2012 Olympics in London. Michael, who is single, jokes and says he's living "the transient-rowing lifestyle."

You can give a college-bound student of your choice a fee-waived application for undergraduate admission. By encouraging a student to apply, you can share your RIT experiences with a prospective student, while helping to defray the cost of applying to the university.
