Newsman Bob Schieffer to Deliver 2010 Graduation Address
Schieffer will take another swing at college life next spring when he serves as the keynote presenter for RIT’s 125th commencement. He will deliver his address during Academic Convocation, which is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, May 21, in the Gordon Field House and Activities Center.
Disney Training Program Shares Magic
RIT welcomes the Disney Institute to Rochester Sept. 30 for a workshop at the RIT Inn & Conference Center. Open to the public, the Disney Keys to Excellence program is an opportunity to learn best business practices from Disney insiders and discover ways to adapt and apply their techniques.
Osher Holds Free Preview Session
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is offering a free sampling of fall classes Sept. 16. Classes will be held at Osher’s new location at the Riparian Independent Living Complex at Rivers Run, 50 Fairwood Drive.

It's a Boy!
Matthew Dana (2003, 2009) and Stephanie Dana are proud to announce the birth of a baby boy, Ryan Matthew. He was born on July 5, 2009 at Highland Hospital, Rochester, NY, and weighed 7 lb., 10 oz. "We're thrilled to welcome our first child! Ryan is happy, healthy, and really darn cute."

Travel Adventures
Joseph Rowley (2008) plans to travel, hike, hitch and blog througout New Zealand for the next six months or so. He recently completed the Sierra High Route and is currently in the process of updaiting the Blog of the 18 days in the wilderness.

Wedding Bells
Erica Binotto '06 (CIAS) and Travis Thomas '09 (CAST, GCCIS) were married on October 12, 2008, at the Castle on the Hudson in Tarrytown, NY. Following the wedding the couple honeymooned in Maui. They currently reside in King of Prussia, PA. Travis works as a systems engineer for Lockheed Martin. Erica works as a medical illustrator for Certified Medical Illustrations.
