$15M 'Power Play' Campaign for Ice Arena
Alumni Stephen and Vicki Schultz last month presented a gift of $1 million to kick off "Tiger Power Play—The Campaign for RIT Hockey," a fundraising effort to build a new ice arena. The 4,000-to-6,000-capacity venue is expected to cost $25 million to $30 million. Read more »

Toyota Foundation Awards Grant to RIT
Toyota USA Foundation has given the Kate Gleason College of Engineering a three-year $420,000 grant to develop the Relevant Education in Math and Science Program, which targets students in 5th to 12th grade. Read more »

Institute of Health Sciences & Technology
President Bill Destler has approved the establishment of the Institute of Health Sciences & Technology, effective immediately. The Institute, to be affiliated with RIT's ninth college, is expected to be operational by next Fall. Read more »

David Koretz, Gerry Pierce Join Board of Trustees
Koretz is a serial entrepreneur who has founded six companies and Pierce '77 is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Wegmans Food Markets. The Board of Trustees has 55 active members, including 24 who are alumni. Read more »

Hospitality School Restructured, Renamed
The former School of Hospitality and Service Management has been renamed the School of International Hospitality and Service Innovation. The new school includes the Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Nutrition Management and the Department of Service Systems. Read more »
