Isaiah Thomas Award in Publishing Announced
Mark Mikolajczyk '83, president and publisher of Florida Today, is the recipient of the 2010 RIT Isaiah Thomas Award in Publishing. He will receive the award April 21 in recognition of his outstanding contributions made to the publishing industry. Mikolajczyk is the 26th award recipient. Read more »

Students Enter Contest with Wireless Key
Ziyan Zhou and Zachery Shivers, members of the Robotics Club, submitted their wireless door-lock entry to the 2010 Texas Instruments Ultra Low-Power Challenge. Blog site Gizmodo features a video about the project design. Read more »

SportsZone named an Emmy Award Finalist
RIT SportsZone is a finalist for the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Foundation's first College Emmy Award. The sports magazine show, now in its eighth year, is being recognized for this season’'s premiere episode. Read more »

Student Redesign Project Wins Top Prize
A team of graduate and undergraduate students revamped the current Chex Mix packaging to showcase a modern look and create a more sustainable design. The new package won first place in a recent design challenge at RIT, sponsored by the American Packaging Corp., that used a variety of General Mills' brands. Read more »

Congratulations!
Hiscock & Barclay, LLP announces that Don Twietmeyer '83 MBA has been named a partner to the Firm. Twietmeyer is a resident of Fairport, NY. Twietmeyer joined the Firm in February 1998 and previously worked in other law firms as well as in the tax department of a certified public accounting firm.

Engaged!
Nicole Jarrett '08 and David Alvarado are happy to announce their engagement. They met at a coffee shop in Brandon, Florida and have been dating for 8 years. The wedding will take place in the Fall of 2011. They are unsure of the location or exact date at this time.

It's a Girl!
Beth (Toly) Toly-Hughes '93 and Roald Hughes '93 are proud to announce the birth of a baby girl, Bella RaeLin Hughes. She was born on May 12, 2009 in Rochester, NY at Unity Hospital., and weighed 7 lb., 8 oz. She joins brothers Aidan age 9, Jack age 7 and Dylan age 5.

Wedding Bells
Sara Beth Weiner-Collier '97 and Corky Collier were married on July 5th, 2009 at a vineyard in Hillsboro, Oregon. Sara Beth's attendants were Leah Canale Coyle '97,'98 and Lindsay Buchko '03, '05. Following a honeymoon in Iceland, the couple reside in Portland, OR.
