Lorraine Justice named dean of CIAS
Lorraine Justice, director of the School of Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, has been named the dean of the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences. She begins her new position in July.

ASL center opens
The American Sign Language & Deaf Studies Community Center opened last month in the Student Alumni Union. The center was established to provide a comfortable and creative space for deaf, hard-of-hearing and hearing students to come together and share their thoughts and ideas. Read more »

The multi-university effort provides the first technology assessment to directly inform policy decisions on shipping emissions in the Arctic.

Facility Management program now online
The Facility Management master's degree program, accredited in the fall, provides professional training both in the classroom and online. The program includes both technical and managerial aspects of the discipline.

NTID alumnus Luke Adams and his mother, Margie, will be featured a second time on the popular CBS reality show The Amazing Race when the 18th season kicks off on Feb. 20.

It's a girl!
Carlos Ramos '04 and Felia Aldridge Ramos '01, '04 are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Nissa Felia. She was born on Nov. 4, 2010 in Conyers, GA, and weighed 5 lb., 14 oz. Her 2yr-old sister Damaris is super excited about the new addition.

David Wanhatalo '92 was elevated to partner at Burr & Forman LLP in the Birmingham, Alabama office. Wanhatalo received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama.

Sarah Behling Smith '04 and Robert Smith are happy to announce their marriage on April 17, 2010 which took place on the beach in Kill Devil Hills, NC. They currently reside in Washington, DC.

Errol Ahearn '85 was recognized January 2, 2011 by Exhibit Designers and Producers Association (EDPA) as its 2010 Designer of the Year.
