WELCOMING PRESIDENT MUNSON

On September 29, the RIT family celebrated Dr. David C. Munson’s inauguration as our new president. Here are thoughts from just a few of the Tiger alumni and RIT leaders present.

Ricardo Venegas ’92

“I was honored to represent RIT alumni at the head of the procession. The pride in the room was palpable, as the Board of Trustees Chair Christine Whitman installed President Munson as our 10th President, witnessed by so many of his family and friends, my fellow alumni, current RIT students, RIT faculty and staff, and the many college and university dignitaries in attendance to honor and pay respects to our university and new leader.”

Jacqueline R. Mozrall ’87

Dean and Professor, Saunders College of Business
“So proud of where we have come and all we have accomplished as a university, but also very excited to be moving forward under President Munson’s leadership. I think his enthusiasm, experience, and energy will lead us to great places. Can’t wait to see where we go next and the new heights we will reach—I am grateful to be a part of it!”

Kandice King ’13

“I was so honored to meet stakeholders from our peer universities and showcase the people and places of RIT for our friends in academia. The energy on campus was positively contagious as we welcome the presidency and promise of Dr. Munson's leadership. Go Tigers!”

Kerry Phillips ’84, MBA ’97

“I thought the ceremony was very nicely done, and really spot on for RIT. I was impressed by what a good speaker Dr. Munson is, and feel he really delivered a message that the entire campus community would find engaging. The entire event was truly inspiring and entertaining, as well.”

TIGERS CARE
ROAR
Day 2017
THANK YOU FOR RISING TO THE CHALLENGE!

Early results are in and while we’re still tabulating numbers, one thing is abundantly clear—thank you for rising to the challenge on ROAR Day!

Alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends made gifts in response to challenges across the university. And those gifts made their mark. We'll have the final numbers ready to share in the near future, but we already know ROAR Day 2017 was record-breaking: over 3,200 Tigers gave, raising over $180,000!
