Why did you choose RIT?
RIT offers one of the best in the way of accessibility – ease in requesting interpreters/note takers and accessible communication in all classes.
Who influenced you most during your time at RIT – friends/ faculty? Staff?
The professors - they rock!
What advice do you have for current students who want to make the most out of their experience at RIT?
While you are working your co-ops – do not be afraid to ask about learning new skills while on the job! Take advantage of the opportunity when your supervisor gives you unfamiliar assignments – this is how you can grow and learn.
Always stay on top of current knowledge. Keep learning new skills. Learning never stops - even when you are retired!
Fun fact(s) about yourself?
My hobbies are scuba diving, traveling, remodeling, trying new restaurants with family and friends, and biking 28 miles roundtrip to work. I am also involved as a board member-at-large for Minnesota Commission of the Deaf, Deaf/Blind & Hard of Hearing and committee member for Minneapolis Advisory Committee on People with Disabilities.
