How It Works
When you register for a Tigers Connect session via Zoom, you'll receive a confirmation email including a link and password for the event. Save this email- it's how you'll access the meeting on the day of the event!
On the day of your event, plan on joining a few minutes early. We'll explain everything you need to know about how to join each of the networking sessions before we get started, and also give you some tips on how to have the best experience. Then, it's time to network! In each session, Tigers will begin by introducing themselves. After that, what you all talk about is up to you. Ask a question of your fellow attendees, or use one of the suggested conversation prompts we'll provide you. These sessions are for you and your new connections, so we encourage you to be ready to both ask and answer questions.
When a session is over, you'll come back to the main lobby and we'll take a short break so you can refresh before meeting your next set of new acquaintances. But don't worry, we won't leave you hanging. We'll have some fun video content to share during this time before it's time to start your next session.
After your third session, we'll do a short wrap up, and the event will be over. But Tigers Connect does not end there! The following day, you'll receive a hearty packet of fresh benefits, opportunities, and resources that are available to alumni looking to broaden their network and enhance their RIT experience. You'll also receive a list of attendees from the event who elected to share their information with the group for further connections. Using this list, you'll be able to meet even more Tigers via LinkedIn and continue to connect well after the in-person event.
