The College of Art and Design houses multiple faculty members specializing in the history and theory of art and visual culture.
Team of Experts
Art History faculty members have written monographs, edited and contributed to collections of essays, contributed to top journals in their fields, authored exhibition catalogues, curated exhibitions, presented at national and international conferences, interviewed contemporary artists, published translations, and have been awarded grants in support of their work.
Faculty also guide student research both in and out of the classroom, and take advantage of RIT’s important collections related to the history of print and 20th-century graphic and industrial design.
