For the upcoming fall semester, construction teams have put in some amazing work to ensure RIT is ready for a successful academic year! Other than roof repairs and small maintenance projects, here are a few major construction changes.
Gleason Circle Bus Loop
While the IMLC is under construction for the next 3 years (between Wallace and the SAU), the Gleason Circle bus loop and bus shelter will be closed. No buses will be stopping there. The new main bus stop has been relocated to F Lot! Construction is underway and the new bus loop will be ready to open for the Fall 2020 semester. New RIT Fall shuttle schedules can be found here!

Construction for the IMLC

The IMLC is believed to be under construction for the next two academic years, and partially of the academic year after that. The IMLC is a massive building with at least 50,000ft of classroom space, and will be home to performative art and group areas!

Upcoming projects for the SAU include establishing a statue of Frederick Douglass and displaying new flags for student support.
Cybersecurity Building
The Cybersecurity Institute building will be opening up to partially utilize this semester, though most arrangements and classes will be held online for fall.

COVID-19 Testing
There are a few sites that have been created for COVID-19 testing areas to ensure more safety for our Fall semester.
Improvements have been made on the road to Perkins and a new crosswalk and sidewalk have been created. More crosswalks have been set up with flashing lights and stop signs for safety!
