How does college fly by so quickly? It’s not too late to do the ‘classic’ RIT activities that you may have missed over your time here. Here is a list of 10 essential on and off campus activities to do before you leave RIT!
  
1.    Sip on a Salsarita’s margarita.
If you’re of legal age to drink alcohol, try an infamous Salsarita’s margarita! It’s the perfect thing to pair with your chips and guacamole after a long day of classes.
 
2.    Cheer on RIT at a hockey game at the Gene Polisseni Center.
Our D1 hockey teams are our pride and joy at RIT. If you haven’t been to a hockey game yet, you should!

3.    Play an intramural sport.
Intramural sports are a perfect way to pick up old hobbies or try something new. Round up some friends or makes some new ones to play!
 
4.    Use your student discount at Digital Den.
Digital Den is our tech store at RIT. Students get educational discounts, and the store is staffed with professionals that are very knowledgeable to help you make the best choice. Shop now online

5.    Get free swag at a Tiger Den sports game.
Every sport at RIT has one Tiger Den game per year. At a Tiger Den, RIT gives out free swag if you stay and watch the game! Nothing is better than supporting your school, watching something new, and getting free stuff!
 
6.    Go climbing at the Red Barn.
We have our very own climbing gym at RIT. If you’re an experienced climber or just want to try it, it’s a great way to spend your day.

7.    Grab a cone at Ben and Jerry’s in the SAU.
Who doesn’t love ice cream? You have to admit that you’re tempted by the sweet smells every time you walk past Ben and Jerry’s in the SAU. They even offer non-dairy options. Yum!

8.    Walk around campus on the loop.
Ever seen people running or walking the loop and have wondered how long it would take? Try it out for yourself! It’s a great way to get some exercise.
 
9.    Grab lunch from the visiting chef.
RIT has amazing visiting chefs come into serve lunch at our on-campus dining locations. It really adds a pleasant variety to your lunch routine. Check out the dining menu and daily visiting chef here
 
10. Walk around a gallery exhibit at RIT.
RIT has some great galleries that showcase amazing work. The galleries are constantly switching up the exhibits, so there is always something new! Check out our galleries’ current events here
