Bio

Lisa has over 24 years of professional experience at the college/university and corporate level. She has been at RIT for 21 years - 18 in Career Services Office working with students in the School of Mathematical Sciences, Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences, Kate Gleason College of Engineering, College of Liberal Arts and Saunders College of Business.
 

Before RIT, Lisa started her career with Enterprise Rent A Car as a Human Resource Generalist in a Regional Office in Wilton, Connecticut and moved into a Corporate Marketing role for the Northeast Region out of New Jersey. After leaving Enterprise, she became a Campus Recruiter with Accenture Consulting in NYC recruiting entry-level students from colleges around the Northeast.
 

She started at RIT in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. While in Admissions she was responsible for leading the Admissions Campus Program Advisory Committee and all on-campus programs for prospective students. She also assisted in creating a National Admissions Recruiting Program to geographically broaden RIT's student population. Since coming to the Office of Career Services in 2001, she has worked with students and employers in many different capacities and currently serves on our office's Career Fair Committee and Employer Relations Committees. Lisa has a BA degree in Psychology and an MS degree in Human Resource Development.

Lisa is Assistant Director for Major Events for the Office of Career Services and is responsible for the University-Wide Career Fairs and other initiatives within the office.

This course studies the process of creating new ventures with an emphasis on understanding the role of the entrepreneur in identifying opportunities, seeking capital and other resources, and managing the formation and growth of a new venture. It addresses the role of entrepreneurship in the economy and how entrepreneurial ventures are managed for growth.
