Graduate programs in the department of graphic media science and technology prepare students for management positions in many aspects of graphic communications industry: Commercial printers; digital and website publishers; design studios; advertising and marketing agencies and specialized print houses; suppliers of machinery, equipment, and paper: all of these segments actively recruit graduates. Jobs are typically in technical and product management, research and development, production or manufacturing management, sales, administrative special assignments, training and many other technology-oriented leadership positions.

Program facilities equipment

At least 14 labs with over $40 million in up-to-date equipment are available for student coursework and research. Students quickly become accustomed to the latest in print and packaging pre-press, digital composition and publishing, electronically controlled presses, digital printing, content management, imaging systems, bindery equipment, color management technologies, computerized estimating systems, and emerging technologies including AR and VR systems, and more. Our computer laboratories feature the latest software packages and input and output devices used by the graphic communications industry for traditional and new media production.
