My college experience has helped me grow, both, as a professional and as a unique individual. Pushing forward with an open-mind, I was able to learn from my mistakes, and yes I did make many, and carry on its teachings to face new obstacles. Gaining strength and knowledge through experience was the most beneficial factor of my college years. My co-op experiences have helped me build a strong foundation for future work opportunities, and my social activities have molded me into a versatile student. Needless to say my program/ department played a great role in my successes thus far. Because of their flexibility, great resources and guidance I was able to fight through my battles with much confidence. As I look at it, one can only get the most of their college experience by experiencing everything college has to offer. And this has been my aim from the start, to succeed both academically and socially, once there’s a balance between the two its only move upwards from there. I would also like to exaggerate the fact that my department has some of the most helpful faculty I’ve ever encountered. My professors and my advisor have always been my number one resource. In addition, different organizations such as, Women in Technology, provides guidance and opportunities that will allow students to be more active on campus. Moreover, the increasingly grand career fairs held here on campus gives us exposure to many great companies, thus increasing our network and opening new doors for future employment.
