Housing/Move-in: Housing Operations/Grace Watson Hall Building 25 – 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
Your first stop upon arriving to campus will be to pick up your room and post office keys, temporary building access card (this will get you into your residence hall building) and IMPRESS meal card (more information regarding meals is outlined below). Carts will be available to assist you in the moving process and our staff will be on site to welcome you and answer questions.
RIT Student ID Card: Registrar/Eastman Hall Building 1 – 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Please visit the Registrar’s Office to pick up your student identification card as soon as possible after your arrival. This is an important piece of your access to many student services- including official access to your residence hall building. You will need to bring one form of photo identification with you.
Family Orientation – 4:30pm-7:30pm
This brings all students and families together for an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about what students will experience during their first semester. Students will enjoy getting to know their peers through guided icebreakers and activities during this time. This will be followed by a family dinner offering time to get to know one another better. Our menu will include a vegetarian option; please let us know if you or your guests have any additional dietary needs. The session closes with time for students and families to say goodbye. The journey begins!
