Kriota Wilberg talk on "The Timeless Cultural Iconography of Graphic Medicine"

What happens at the intersection of art and public health? How can historical cartoons inspire new artistic interpretations and creations today?

Join NYC-based artist and educator, Kriota Willberg, as she provides an overview of graphic medicine and the Center for Engaged Storycraft Workshop, "Graphic Medicine in a Pandemic," that she designed and taught this past fall and will teach online again in Fall 2021. Willberg collaborated with RIT University Archivists Elizabeth Call and Jody Sidlauskas, drawing historic cartoons from the digital exhibit: "Epidemics, Economics, and Elections: The editorial cartoons of John Scott Clubb and Elmer Messner."

Click on the Event registration link to pre-register for Willberg's presentation and a lively Q&A discussion to follow. Registrants will receive a Zoom link via email. The deadline to register for this event is Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.
