Transnational Workshop: Digital Creation ‘Beyond the Screen’

Transnational Workshop: Digital Creation ‘Beyond the Screen’

RIT International Research Program to Paris, France

Travel Dates: January 4-13, 2019

Program Details:

Collaborate with students at the University of Paris 8 to design and create an interactive digital installation using various forms of interactive media, programming, and/or sensing technologies and travel to Paris over winter break for a public exhibition of your projects.

Participants in the program will meet with their Paris counterparts via four semi-weekly videoconference meetings starting in mid-October. Over the course of late fall, you will work in transnational teams to develop your own digital installation projects, drawing on your own interests, expertise, and aims. In January, you will travel to Paris for one week to meet your teammates and exhibit your projects.

Students will not earn any credit for this experience, however it will be listed on your transcript and is an opportunity to show international experience in your portfolio or on your resume.

No pre-requisites. Program open to 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students as well as graduate students. No prior technical skills necessary.
