Degree Programs

The RIT Environmental Science Program is unique because it offers you an opportunity to choose a four-year program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science or an accelerated five-year program leading to both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree. The five-year BS/MS option is strongly recommended because it gives you a considerable advantage over other environmental science graduates in the job market. The curriculum was developed in conjunction with an advisory board of environmental leaders to ensure that your education prepares you well for a wide array of career opportunities. A two-year master's degree program is also available if you already possess a bachelor's degree.
