Key requirements:

PhD in a computing or related discipline by date of appointment
Conduct research in any area of cybersecurity, but we are particularly interested in security and privacy in healthcare or IoT, usable security, and applications of AI and ML in computing security.

 

Strong publication record. Recent successful candidates have multiple papers in top venues like USENIX Security (2017 Distinguished Paper Award), CCS (2018 Outstanding Paper Award finalist), IEEE Security & Privacy, INFOCOM, NDSS, and more.
Potential to establish an independent, externally funded research program.
Commitment and potential to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and the ability to mentor PhD and MS students.
An interest in working in a collaborative, collegial department and among colleagues in the department, college, and institution.
Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the college's continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.
